“Mother” was written during a time that I was feeling a lot of anxieties about what my role in the eternities was as a woman. I felt that there were a lot of examples for men, but nothing for me. This song was written while feeling that anxiety and searching and pleading for the divine feminine, or heavenly mother. There is so little information about her, but I realized I didn’t have to wait for everyone else or wait for more information to seek her, I could do that myself. “Mother” is a very personal song about feeling absolutely lost and worthless, but finding home and my value again.
