Beautiful Silence

by Lindsi Neilson

I dreamt I was sitting in a white room
Next to a Woman whose features
I couldn’t quite see
But whose hand rested on my head.

“I am lost” I told her
“I have trusted myself and the world too much
and let go of You.”

Tears fell down my face,
And though she did not wipe them away
Her hand stayed on my head

Darling child, She told me
Forgive yourself, and come home.
And then we sat in beautiful silence.
