A Mother’s Joy

A Mother’s Joy

I’m running back and forth thru
this temporary space,
Chasing my growing boy on tip-toes
as he excitedly bounces down the hallway
The hollow pitter patter bounces such happy notes against the walls.
They echo resounding notes of joy around my soul
What moments these are
That fill me up even until I pour over

Does a Heavenly Mother
have moments like these?
What moments fill Her heart,
Like the sound of a toddler’s happy feet?
Does She feel overwhelming joy,
from each
of our clumsy stumbles toward growth?
